Another small update! I actually recorded myself animating this time, so that will be uploaded shortly.

Man I have had a busy month, papers upon papers upon school. But I am done for the semester and I am ready to kick back and chill for a few weeks, clean out my askbox, do all of these things I’ve been putting off. My tablet’s dying though so I might open up commissions soon!

End of Act 5 summary: And then everybody was a god. I overworked a few aspects of this but I spent time on it so might as well post it :’D. And all of my initial sketches end up as panels rather than single images and I don’t know how to condense them. Oh well! High res here

Woopss been kinda busy! Sketched these between bouts of essay-work.

Rose and Kanaya would be an intimidating pair of sphinx-like maître d’s who only seldom ask ‘do you have a reservation’ and spin long winded riddles for their often uncomfortable customers to answer instead. Terezi as head chef with her sous chef Dave and they definitely are not just adding Tabasco sauce and jello powder to every recipe, whoever dropped that in the complaint box is a L1B3L1ST. Karkat earns a whopping zilch from tips and would be out of house and home without John’s saviour-of-the-waiting-world tip income. Not pictured: Gamzee as pastry chef and Eridan washing the dishes.

I love these dangerous ladies. Their conversations always struck me as akin to a shonen-esque relationship between rival-friends, only with snark and mindgames instead of power levels, and I wondered back then if eventually they would reach super saiyan and snark it out while probably blowing up a few planets along the way. AND THEN THEY REACHED SUPER SAIYAN AND well Rose blew up a planet, Kanaya just kicked people in the balls which is pretty much just as good imo.

Kanaya has a thing for flighty and destructive broads, and these broads have a thing for not listening to good advice. Rose has enough intellect and wit to match Kanaya and explode a thousand horseshitometers, and in that nicer world of kids and trolls and fun I imagine Rose enjoys being on equal footing with someone for once, and seeks Kanaya’s company whenever she wants to use big words and be understood. They also fling entire bags of words at each other whenever they meet in passing in the halls or on the stairs, much to the chagrin of anybody they happen to be walking with who always get stuck in the crossfire of all that Machiavellian bullshit. Seriously that stuff is a pain to wash out of your clothes.

Happy 4/13, and happy birthday John Egbert! It’s been two years, but it’s still your birthday! Haha wow!
